Drama Discussion Group: View, Read and Discuss the Theater

Bob Ogden

Friday, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

1/12/2018- 3/30/2018

12 weeks: $60 members/$75 non-members

Participants will discuss great plays after reading them and, in many cases, viewing videos of the play. In sessions where a video is shown, the showing will normally take up most of the time, and discussion will, for the most part, take place in the following session.  Group members will have the opportunity, and will be encouraged, to lead the discussion on a play of his/her choosing and to give some background about the playwright. Discussion leaders will normally ask group members to read particular parts from sections of the play being discussed, but we do not perform plays.

A list of plays to choose from is provided.  Group members may select plays from the list or may propose a title of their choosing not on the list.

Participants agree that leading the discussion on a play is a satisfying and  fun experience. The format for this workshop has proven to be very stimulating because of the active participation by everyone in the group.

Arrangements will be made to enable group members to acquire the same edition of plays selected for discussion.
