SUMMARY:Beginning Pottery Wheel 101 - June 2026
DESCRIPTION:Mondays\, February 1\, 8\, 15\, 22\, 2027from 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM4-session class fee: $77/$62 annual donors Something magical happens when you write with other people. Much like artists who paint in workshops\, we will write together in an open studio format. During each session\, writer and editor Barbara Freeman will serve as facilitator. The focus will be to generate new material using prompts. These free writings might become a poem\, a family story\, or even a letter. After each ten-minute writing session\, participants will be invited to read what they wrote. This is always optional. The pur-pose is not to critique but to listen. “Writing practice brings us back to the uniqueness of our own minds and an acceptance of it. We all have wild dreams\, fantasies\, and ordinary thoughts. Let us feel the texture of them…” says Natalie Goldberg in Wild Mind: Living the Writer’s Life. So\, join us and let’s enjoy writing together. • Students should bring a notebook\, your favorite pen\, and/or a laptop or tablet.• Suggested reading: Writing Down the Bones by Natalie Goldberg Cancellation deadline: 1/25/2027Call the box office to register: 239-395-0900 \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Printable PDF\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n instructor bio\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n BIG ARTS Cancellation Policy:Cancellations made more than one week (7 days) prior to the start of class will receive an 80% refund.
