DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, April 6\, 2027from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PMClass fee: $105 for all participants. Includes a pre-thrown 8-inch clay pot for each student and glaze. Enjoy this fun-filled evening as we begin in the classroom learning about Raku\, a traditional Japanese pottery-firing technique. Tim & Dana will guide students through the enjoyable process of glazing a pre-thrown pot. Offering a different glazing technique for each class. See class curriculum link below for details. Students will observe the exciting steps of loading and unloading the kilns outside in the sculpture garden while sipping on wine and enjoying light snacks during the 45-minute firing process. Finally\, the pots are quenched with water before each student takes home their beautiful one-of-a-kind Raku work of art. We recommend students wear comfortable clothing\, sunscreen\, sunglasses\, bug spray\, and a hat.
