SUMMARY:Beginning Pottery Wheel 101 - February 2026
DESCRIPTION:Wednesdays\, February 18\, 25 & March 4\, 11\, 18\, 25\, 2026from 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM 6-week class fee: $295 / $236 donorsSupply fee: $65 per 20 lb. bag of clay & glaze used & purchased as needed through the box office. Prerequisite: Participants must have taken Beginner and Intermediate Pottery Wheel classes in advance of this class -OR- have significant pottery wheel experience prior to registering for this class.  In this advanced pottery wheel course\, students will engage in independent special projects. You are encouraged to pursue your personal interests or develop and refine your pieces. As experienced students\, you will continue to enhance your skills through individualized instruction\, group demonstrations\, and collaboration with fellow students. A solid understanding of throwing on the pottery wheel is expected. The specific clay and glazes utilized will be determined by the instructor. Working with clay is an art form that transcends age\, connecting us to a realm of possibilities and self-discovery. When I inquire with my students\, young and old alike\, about their passion for working with clay\, their responses echo the universal charm of this ancient medium. It is gooey and malleable\, possessing the remarkable ability to take on any shape. The cool\, soft texture invites us to immerse ourselves in its myriad possibilities. \n \n \n \n Call the box office to register: 239-395-0900 \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Class Curriculum\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Studio Etiquette\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Safety Protocols\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Supply List\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Instructor Bio\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n general info\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Cancellation deadline: 02/10/2026 Student Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made more than one week (7 days) prior to the start of class will receive an 80% refund.  OR – funds may be applied to any other workshop of your choice during the current season.
