If you’re comfortable with the basics of throwing and eager to learn more advanced techniques\, this class is for you! Students will explore methods for creating larger forms and lidded pieces and incorporating sculptural and surface techniques. This class encourages students to develop their unique style in pottery and ceramics\, with brainstorming sessions focused on what they wish to create. Examples of projects could include teapots or tea sets\, vases\, jars or lidded vessels\, luminaries\, and more! Working with clay is an art form that transcends age\, connecting us to a realm of possibilities and self-discovery. When I inquire with my students\, young and old alike\, about their passion for working with clay\, their responses echo the universal charm of this ancient medium.
