This class encourages students to develop their unique style in pottery and ceramics\, with brainstorming sessions focused on what they wish to create. Examples of projects could include teapots or tea sets\, vases\, jars or lidded vessels\, luminaries\, and more! \nWorking with clay is an art form that transcends age\, connecting us to a realm of possibilities and self-discovery. Includes a pre-thrown 8-inch clay pot for each student and glaze. \nEnjoy this fun-filled evening as we begin in the classroom learning about Raku\, a traditional Japanese pottery-firing technique. Tim & Dana will guide students through the enjoyable process of glazing a pre-thrown pot. Offering a different glazing technique for each class. See class curriculum link below for details. \nStudents will observe the exciting steps of loading and unloading the kilns outside in the sculpture garden while sipping on wine and enjoying light snacks during the 45-minute firing process.
