Sally Dutko
A passion for surface design and textile manipulation inspires Sally’s fiber explorations in fabric collages and mixed-media wall hangings. Mainly abstract or figurative, her work addresses subjects through texture, line, pattern, color, and typography. All types of fabrics are dyed and painted to audition for her compositions. A full-time Floridian since 2014, she finds that the vegetation and wildlife here provide inspiration and challenge. A Fine Arts graduate of Cooper Union in New York City, Sally worked as a graphic designer and art director in publications and marketing at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. She has received many awards, exhibited widely, and curated fiber arts exhibits.
Professional affiliations include Art Quilters Unlimited (board member and exhibitor), Studio Art Quilters Association (international SAQA), Alliance for the Arts, and the Art Council of Southwest Florida. She is a working member of the Tower Gallery on Sanibel Island.
Bonnie Langenfeld
Bonnie Langenfeld began to apply her artistic skills – creating realistic pictures in raw-edge applique and thread painting – while raising a family and teaching primary grades in Minnesota. As a full-time artist, Bonnie’s love of fabrics takes her to fabric stores, not to the dye lab. She never paints, dyes, or colors fabric she uses. But she does add details with free-motion machine stitching. She often creates landscapes, which may be quilted or matted and framed. Her pieces are frequently mistaken for a painting.
Bonnie’s professional history includes numerous art shows; being featured in Minnesota and Florida galleries; earning juried and non-juried awards; commissions; speaking about her work; teaching children in an artist-in-residency program; and teaching adults in fabric shops, guilds, the International Quilt Festival and the American Quilter’s Society.
Angela Scozzari
Angela Scozzari is an award-winning artist who works with rusted metal, textiles, and found objects. She creates sculpture and art installations for both exhibition and commission.
Angela was born in Connecticut, lived in New York and moved to Florida as a child. She is a certified Montessori teacher, a mother to three grown children, and a Nana to four grandchildren. She and her husband of 40-plus years live in Jupiter, Florida.
Angela is currently combining found rusted railroad steel with handspun art yarn in mixed-media paintings, sculptures, art installations, and wall hangings. She is continually influenced by color and texture found in rusted metals, fabric, and her surrounding environment. Angela admits that she begins her work without preconceived ideas about an outcome; instead she allows her intuition to direct her artistic process.
