The Southwest Florida Symphony is Lee County’s only professional orchestra and one of the oldest symphony orchestras on Florida’s Gulf Coast. Since its inception more than a half century ago, the Southwest Florida Symphony has grown to a roster of 70 world-class musicians. The symphony returns to Sanibel with the full orchestra to perform for the first time on the Christensen Performance Hall Stage as part of their Masterwork Concert Series. The orchestra will be joined by guest artist Alec Holcomb, who is hailed as one of today’s top emerging young classical guitarists. With a distinctive technique fueling new and impactful interpretations, Alec has been described as “a strong musical personality” with “the right blend of virtuosity, spirit, and whimsy.” Don’t miss this incredible evening of world-class talent.
