This workshop is designed for islanders and visitors alike who are ready to bring joyful art and sunshine into their lives. Sissi Janku will brighten your hearts and homes with a semi-abstract look at Florida’s birds this season.
Be brave and join her on a magical trip into the amazing world of abstraction. Bring your canvas and paints to discover how a simple rooster or spoonbill takes on all the colors of the kaleidoscope and turns them into a cubistic painting. Journey into a mix of abstraction and realism and a harmonious play of bright colors.

Painting classes include step-by-step instructions with tips for: – abstract art for beginners – complimentary colors – color-mixing – application of paints in different styles and techniques: watercolor style, opaque impressionistic style, pointillism, and all the many ways acrylic paints can be used and worked with – techniques for effects: dripping, scratching, bleeding.
The class will meet at 900 Dunlop Road, Sanibel.

Cancellations made more than one week (7-days) prior to the start of class will receive an 80% refund.

Your funds may be applied to another workshop of your choice during the current season.
