After graduating from the Academy of Arts in Munich, Sissi moved to Hawaii and studied with the famous artist John Young for 4 years. Janku lived on Sanibel Island for 27 years before she moved to Fort Myers in 2022, where she still paints island motifes. Sanibel is always on her mind, and she visits her Sanibel friends weekly.
She also draws from her experiences living in Mexico, Egypt, China, Germany, and many places in the U.S. Sissi is a full-time artist and passionate art teacher painting in acrylics, oils, and watercolors.
