EXPLORING PRINTMAKING Monotype/Monoprint Artist-Instructor: Deb Zwetsch

Artists of all levels are welcome to explore the art of printmaking. We will approach printmaking through monotype and monoprint using a Sturges press then incorporate collage along with using additive and subtractive methods.
Class will begin with a brief history of monotype/monoprint throughout the ages, followed by an instructor demonstration of the various techniques used to create these painterly prints.
Students will learn various methods of applying inks to the plexi-plates, using brayers, and brushes, as well as creating textures from collage. Everyone will create unique, one-of-a-kind prints under Deb’s instruction.
