Supply fee: $65 includes a 20 lb. bag of clay – glaze, and kiln firing. Purchased as needed through the box office
Designed for students with basic hand-building experience, this class deepens your understanding of techniques such as coil, slab, and pinch construction. You’ll focus on improving form, structure, and surface design while incorporating decorative elements like carving, stamping, and glazing. Students will work on guided projects such as lidded vessels, sculptural forms, or functional ware, with increasing creative freedom.
Prerequisite: Completion of a beginner pottery class or equivalent experience
Skills Developed: • Refining construction techniques • Adding texture and decorative surfaces • Advanced glaze theory and application

BIG ARTS Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made more than one week (7 days) prior to the start of class will receive an 80% refund. OR funds may be applied to any other workshop of your choice during the current season. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable for cancellations made less than one week prior to the start of the class.
