Monday, April 6 & Tuesday April 7, 2026 from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
2-day Workshop fee: $245/$196 annual donors
Intermediate & Advanced watercolor artists will be approaching the abstract through collage and using your collage to create an abstract watercolor painting. This is not a class for beginning watercolor painters…as I won’t be teaching the basics of watercolor.
On the first day we will discuss design elements, and I will have samples of abstracts as well as doing demonstrations. At the end of the day, each student will decide which collage they wish to use in order to create a painting, I will take photos of each one and return with a line drawing on day two so the student can paint from the line drawing to create a painting.
On the second day I will demonstrate how to paint from a photo of your collage and taking you step by step through the process, with individualized instruction.
Each day of class students should come with all materials used to create their collage and watercolor painting. See the supply list link below.
