4-session class fee: $135 / $108 annual donors
In this four-week workshop open to all levels, you will discover the joy of writing as you write with others to generate fresh material, whether it be for fiction, nonfiction, or poetry – or simply for your own pleasure. You will have the opportunity to practice using ten-minute free writings with prompts and various jumpstarts. By the end of the workshop, your writer’s notebook will be full of new writing. You can also receive written feedback from the instructor on one completed piece of writing.
Students should bring a notebook and a good pen to class.

Class One: Beginnings (getting started, writing envelopes, free writing)
Class Two: People and Places (characters, conflict, and settings)
Class Three: Stories, Letters, and Poems (finding shapes and forms)
Class Four: Endings (revising and editing)
