This class welcomes artists of all levels, from beginners eager to explore their artistic abilities to experienced artists seeking to embrace a playful and whimsical artistic approach where they will learn the basics of sculpting with masking tape.
Jeff’s teaching style is relaxed, conversational, and the class is limited to only eight students for personalized attention. Join us for one or more sessions for a creative experience of masking tape sculpting, learning new techniques and transforming simple materials into works of art.
By the end of each class, you’ll walk away with your very own unique sculpture, embodying the simplicity and joy of folk art, and an instructional handout on how to seal and paint your sculpture at home with easy-to-find materials.
Turtle Time: Explore the art of sculpting delightful free-standing turtles with intricately designed shells. All workshops begin with a glass bottle project, allowing Jeff to go over the basic techniques of sculpting with masking tape and give students the opportunity to create a free-style sculpted design on the bottles that can later be displayed as a bud vase. After learning the basics, students will begin crafting their own unique turtle with masking tape, paper, wire, and glass marbles for the eyes. Turtle sculptures stand approximately 5 inches tall and 7 inches long.
The class will meet at 900 Dunlop Road, Sanibel.

Cancellations made more than one week (7-days) prior to the start of class will receive an 80% refund.
OR
Your funds may be applied to another workshop of your choice during the current season.
