In this class, we will be using seagrass to weave one-of-a-kind pieces. Seagrass is several feet long and is easy to work with. It is an ideal medium for coiling and open weaving.
We will start around a piece of driftwood, shell, or part of a gourd; and by weaving over, under, and around, incorporating large shells and other sea things. We will create a large wall piece or table centerpiece. Bring your imagination and any interesting objects you want to incorporate, as well as your favorite CDs for two days of creating. All levels are welcome, and no previous experience is needed for this class.
