This new workshop will cover the basic principles of oil painting with regard to painting palms. It will include interesting and memorable discussions on composition, massing, building form, light and shadow, depending on your own style, and knowing when a work is finished (learning how to not overwork your painting).

Something magical happens when you write with other people. Much like artists who paint in workshops, we will write together in an open studio format.

Mindful Making is a process-based art class focused on self-expression, reflection, and personal meaning. Rather than emphasizing technical skills or finished products, this class invites stu-dents to explore the why behind their creative choices.

Intermediate & Advanced painters, this information-packed workshop is designed to give a good foundation for bold, direct palette knife paintings. Participants can expect to produce at least one painting. Class starts with a demonstration focusing on the most direct and effective methods for painting strong, vibrant oils using painting knives and a limited palette.

Friday, March 5, 2027 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
In this class, students will create a card and incorporate Zentangle techniques on them. Students will learn fun tangles and come away with cards to send to that special someone.

Ready to make something completely unique? Join Julie for a two-day workshop exploring the endless possibilities of printmaking and layered collage. After a live demo, the studio is yours! Enjoy personalized instruction and ample time to create at your own pace. No experience is needed, and all supplies are provided.

Artists of all levels are welcome to explore the art of printmaking. We will approach printmaking through monotype and monoprint using a Sturges press and then incorporate collage, along with using additive and subtractive methods.
