4-day workshop fee: $875 / $700 annual donors
Create dynamic art by starting 12 paintings (11×15”) with color, texture, pattern, gestural marks and more, on day one. This may seem like “chaos,” but it delivers vital beginning energy that is intuitive, necessary, and fun! Strong design and composition are the elements that bring “order” to the rich starts and turn them into attention-getting and expressive finished works.
Beginner or advanced – you are encouraged to discover and explore your unique expression in realism, abstraction, or non-objectivity. A 9-page syllabus, demonstrations, individual attention, and independent work time will enable understanding and application of new information and processes. Specific lessons on creating new compositions, exciting textures, layering, expressive mark making, color concepts, seeing values (of a color), and more will be presented.
“Most of all,” Kathleen says, “I want to help each artist advance to the next level in their own work – no matter where they start.” Bring your sense of adventure and enthusiasm for this fully packed workshop. In this class, we meet challenges, work hard, have fun, and call it ART.

BIG ARTS Master Artist Cancellation Policy:
We offer a variety of workshops taught by nationally and internationally recognized master artists. Due to the contractual agreements with some of these artists. $75 of the workshop fee is non-refundable and non-transferable upon registration.
Cancellations made more than one week (7-days) prior to the start of class will receive an 80% refund, less the $75 non-refundable fee.

Your funds may be applied to any other workshop of your choice during the current season, less the $75 non-refundable fee.
