Have you always wanted to learn the basics of throwing clay on the pottery wheel?
Beginning students will discover how to center a ball of clay and shape it into various objects. Those with prior experience will refine their skills and learn techniques to create more intricate forms. This pottery wheel class offers a wonderful opportunity for students at the beginning level to explore the art of clay in a fun and creative atmosphere. Open to ages 18 and up.
Working with clay is an art form that transcends age, connecting us to a realm of possibilities and self-discovery. When I ask my students, both young and old, why they love working with clay, their responses echo the universal appeal of this ancient medium. Its gooey texture is malleable, and it possesses the remarkable ability to take on any shape. The cool and soft feel invites us to immerse ourselves in its potential.
