Artists of all levels are welcome to explore the art of printmaking. We will approach printmaking through monotype and monoprint using a Sturges press and then incorporate collage, along with using additive and subtractive methods.
Class will begin with a brief history of monotype/monoprint throughout the ages, followed by an instructor demonstration of the various techniques used to create these painterly prints.
Students will learn various methods of applying inks to the plexi-plates, using brayers, and brushes, as well as creating textures from collage. Everyone will create unique, one-of-a-kind prints under Deb’s instruction.

BIG ARTS Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made more than one week (7 days) prior to the start of class will receive an 80% refund. OR – funds may be applied to any other workshop of your choice during the current season. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable for cancellations made less than one week prior to the start of the class.
