In this class, we will be using seagrass to weave one-of-a-kind pieces. Seagrass is several feet long and is easy to work with. It is an ideal medium for coiling and open weaving. We will start around a piece of driftwood, shell, or part of a gourd; and by weaving over, under, and around, incorporating large shells and other sea things. We will create a large wall piece or table center-piece. Bring your imagination and any interesting objects you want to incorporate, as well as your favorite CDs for two days of creating.
