Workshops

Friday, January 8, 2027 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Artists of all levels are welcome to explore the art of printmaking. We will approach printmaking through monotype and monoprint using a Sturges press and then incorporate collage, along with using additive and subtractive methods.

Monday & Tuesday, January 11 & 12, 2027 from 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM
In this workshop, intermediate & advanced stu-dents will experience the freedom of acrylics, and look forward to painting still life, landscapes, and figures. Jane says, “My students leave with more than a few canvases in hand; they leave with a sense of accomplishment, a new appreciation for their own abilities and the motivation to keep on painting!”

Monday & Tuesday, January 18, 19, 2027 from 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Welcome Intermediate & Advanced painters. If you have wondered how artists paint vibrant yet translucent watercolor nature subjects, this is the class for you.

Monday & Tuesday, January 25, 26, 2027 from 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM
This new workshop will cover the basic principles of oil painting with regard to painting palms. It will include interesting and memorable discussions on composition, massing, building form, light and shadow, depending on your own style, and knowing when a work is finished (learning how to not overwork your painting).

Mondays, February 1, 8, 15, 22, 2027 from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Something magical happens when you write with other people. Much like artists who paint in workshops, we will write together in an open studio format.

Tuesdays, February 2, 9, 16, 23, 2027 from 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
